1 Jun 2006 - May update
May started off with the end of the Campaigners camp in Gairloch then the Teddy Bears picnic in Poolewe - I took my teddy too!
We had a first aid training day in Kyle for those working with children and young people and I learnt how to put a sling on the right way round - and still got it wrong.
I went to the new Kyle youth fellowship and we had a good night. They are very enthusiastic - a great group. I had a tour of Skye one day and I picked a great day for it. I met up with people in Struan, Dunvegan and Edinbane and the sun shone so in Dunvegan we sat and had our meeting outside.
I had a visit to the Sleat Sunday school and heard a young lad doing some wonderful precenting there. Then it was off to Nethy Bridge. The 1st years from Gairloch High School go every year and I just love it. Monday to Friday and a great chance to get to know the young folk better and to catch up with old colleagues.
I was at my friend's wedding after that, which was great. If you get the chance to go to St Columba's in Edinburgh one Sunday, please go. You will get a very friendly welcome and a good Gospel message.
We had our out of school clubs in Raasay and Kinlochewe too. This month we were looking at David and Goliath. Before going to Kinlochewe I had to sit an exam!!! I hope the marker is in good form when he is marking the paper!
We have had a good month and we praise the Lord for that.
