2 May 2006 - April update
April for me, came in like a lamb and went out like a lion! Schools were closed in the first week so it was good to spend time in the office, catching up with things and the 2nd week I was on holiday!
Before I went on holiday, we had a trip through to watch Ross County getting beaten by St Mirren. Thanks to Roy MacGregor for helping us out with tickets, we had a great day out, even though we lost!
On the 20th April, the Aultbea Campaigners were invited to Isle View Nursing home to sing our Noah's ark songs to the residents and we enjoyed that - especially the juice and home made shortbread afterwards.
I have started my visits round each congregation as I have been in this job a year now, so if I havnt been to you - it will be your turn soon!!
On Sunday 23rd April I had the pleasure of going to the Portree YF. What a great group they are. That evening, we did the same material in Portree as Murdo did in Aultbea with our YF so it was a double blessing.
As well as the usual assemblies, April saw the start of the Badcaul primary assemblies too. That was a treat for me. What a lovely welcoming school it is.
Then, the big finale to April - the Campaigners Camp! Thank you to everyone who prayed for this camp - the weather stayed amazingly dry until the Monday morning. We had a fantastic weekend with some new activities as well as some of the old favourites.
Thats April and now we are into May. We have a lot on this month and I hope to get some new photos up at the end of this month. We can look forward to seeing them.
